During my Plus Weeks, I developed Sour Summer ’24, a project combining riso printing and stop-motion animation. Inspired by: @juliakatarzyna_ @dtan.studio

The concept was born from an unexpected injury to my left index finger—an amputation that turned my summer into a painful, limiting, and “sour” experience.

Using riso printing, I experimented with color layering and texture, translating this personal struggle into bold, imperfect imagery. Sequencing the prints into animation allowed me to bring the story to life.
